Today was a special day for us. It was my youngest son's orientation day at school. He starts kindergarten next year so this month he gets 3 short (too short) visits to the school. I'm not sure which of us was more excited about today. It's been something we've been looking forward to for a while now and he keeps asking when he can go to school. He was convinced he could go as soon as he turned 5 and can't understand why he has to wait until the new school year. So this morning I dropped him off (no tears from either of us) and as it was Remembrance Day today I came home to paint poppies on my nails before picking him up again (an hour and a half later). It was all over too quickly but I think he enjoyed it and my nails had time to dry :)
Not sure why I did it but I layered my poppies between coats of Fantasy Markers Go With The Glow.
I have other glow in the dark polishes that are clear but I used this one because it has a slightly cloudy finish from the GITD pigment. I wanted my layers to be progressively foggier but still visible. Like a field of poppies in the hazy morning light.
I didn't pay much attention to how many layers of Go With The Glow I used but it glows really well! There's a base layer then one coat between each colour of flowers and each layer of foliage then a final coat on top.
